GoGA Mission

We strive to create a positive, dynamic, supportive, all-female environment where women are challenged to ride harder and farther. We emphasize a holistic approach towards riding: we want to facilitate your progression towards becoming a confident rider in terms of route, repair, and safety knowledge.

The specifications:

- Ride 20 to 30 miles in 2007, 25 to 35 miles in 2008

- Quick pace (we don't want to be out all night)

- You will feel most comfortable riding a road bike

- Although we always look out for each other, you are responsible for knowing your own limitations. If you are not comfortable with long distance, the mechanics of your bike, or the pace is too quick, speak up!!! We will try to accommodate you if you are willing to push yourself.

Tuesday v Wednesday

Ladies who would prefer to ride on Wednesday:

The tuesday ride is going to go on as usual. But, you can use this blog to advertise a Wednesday ride and you are welcome to use the Tuesday route (which will be posted here).

So, you know who you are.. If you want the login/passwd to post to the blog, email signe at caltech.edu.

Hmmm.. I have a preference for attending Burrito Project on Wednesday, so I would rather keep Tuesdays. However, we can have GoGA both days, with Tuesday as a "scout" for the Wednesday ride. What do you think?

i think it would be great if we had enough people for two rides.. the route planner could be responsible for posting it on the blog and the wednesday riders would have to make sure they bring a copy.

I vote for Tuesday.

I am hoping to ride on Wednesday nights but I also am super busy with school so it would have to be on a week by week basis.

Anyone interested?

Also I haven't ridden that much for a while so I'd be a little slow to start and would like to keep the ride to 10 miles or an hour whichever came first. Pretty weak I know but then there's room for improvement and I do get much better.
