GoGA Mission

We strive to create a positive, dynamic, supportive, all-female environment where women are challenged to ride harder and farther. We emphasize a holistic approach towards riding: we want to facilitate your progression towards becoming a confident rider in terms of route, repair, and safety knowledge.

The specifications:

- Ride 20 to 30 miles in 2007, 25 to 35 miles in 2008

- Quick pace (we don't want to be out all night)

- You will feel most comfortable riding a road bike

- Although we always look out for each other, you are responsible for knowing your own limitations. If you are not comfortable with long distance, the mechanics of your bike, or the pace is too quick, speak up!!! We will try to accommodate you if you are willing to push yourself.

Rider down (but not out): Katie Bennett

Last week on GoGA, (3/4), Katie Bennett suffered a bike injury that's diagnosis has yet to be determined, but nevertheless she's down for a while. This accident lead us to reconsider out "new" starting time - while traffic was not the sole cause, it was a contributor to this unfortunate event. So once, again, we are changing our starting time to meeting at 8:00pm, and leaving at 8:30pm SHARP.

Thank you for bearing with us, and we hope to see you out there.

Dr. appointment on 3/10. Not likely to provide "the answer", but will give me a reasonable idea of recovery time. Updates to come. Thanks for the GoGA love.

Girls, I can't thank you enough for your calls, text messages, emails and flowers! Your support has been tremendous. Great news from the doc today. He thinks I will not need surgery, so I should be back on the LA roads in no time! Or 6-8 weeks.
