GoGA Mission

We strive to create a positive, dynamic, supportive, all-female environment where women are challenged to ride harder and farther. We emphasize a holistic approach towards riding: we want to facilitate your progression towards becoming a confident rider in terms of route, repair, and safety knowledge.

The specifications:

- Ride 20 to 30 miles in 2007, 25 to 35 miles in 2008

- Quick pace (we don't want to be out all night)

- You will feel most comfortable riding a road bike

- Although we always look out for each other, you are responsible for knowing your own limitations. If you are not comfortable with long distance, the mechanics of your bike, or the pace is too quick, speak up!!! We will try to accommodate you if you are willing to push yourself.

WS ladies - I'm sorry that I won't be there this week - Signe, one of the ladies that has kept the ES GoGA up and running is moving to the Bay Area and we are bidding her farewell in a rouge ES GoGA ride to bowling this Tuesday.

Have fun on the Westside and I'll see you in a couple Tuesdays!

Hi all...I'm interested in giving GOGA a try this week, but I'm a little nervous if I can keep up. I don't have a road bike (currently on a hybrid) but I do have enthusiasm. What's the typical pace? And long are the rides? 1-2-3 hours? Thanks!

Hi Sonja,

The pace is usually quick - flat land 17-22 mph, hills of course a little slower, and downhill a bit faster. I don't know the route for this week, but I encourage you to come along. If you feel like the pace is too quick or you're not feeling it this time, the girls can certainly discuss potential "escpae routes" for you. Enthusiam is all we ask for. Hope you go!

Hi, interested in riding with you ladies. Is this a strictly female ride? I'm just sayin...it would be nice to have a she-space.

Let me know. Down to ride next Tuesday.
